U17,s bowed out of the cup last night at the semi final stage to old cresent. At the half way mark it was all to play for with a score line of 3 -3. Old cresent got a try in the first five mins of the 2nd half and then converted it pushing the score to 10-3.  Bruff kept battling and narrowed the score to 10-6 with 20 mins left on the clock. Cresent managed to turn over a ball inside bruffs 22 and got their 2nd try cresent then had an 11 pt lead on the homeside. A late try from brian fanning which paul downes converted brought the score to 17 -13 but unfortunately  time was against bruff and this was to be the end result. All games in division 1b have been refixed from saturday until sat 20th and the season has been extended for a week with the final round of fixtures taking place now on the 27th April. For us that means the home fixture against Buccaneers now takes place on the 27th April.

Great turn out for opening night of spring tag league, thanks to all the teams that entered, to refs James, Frank and Eileen for running off night so well, to Grainne and Fiona on the burgers and Mary Paul and Kate in bar. Guest teams are invited to participate over the coming thursday nights as there are always teams available to play extra games.
