Bruff get Youghal at home following their nineteen point to three win over a very strong Castleisland side. They went into the break Nine nil up following three John Forde penalties but a second half try by John Carroll with extras by Forde and another penalty gave them a clear enough win. With the both Division A and B of the south western conference now completed Bruff under 21’s can look forward to completing their remaining fixtures in the upper echelons having finished in the top four of Division B.

For the first time in three months we saw a bit of Sunshine in Kilballyowen but thats about as good as it got for the first XV. For the second year in a row, we get drawn against Clonakilty in the AIB Cup. This first round game of this seasons AIB Cup competition will be played away in Clon on the 26th of September.
Winners of this game will play away to St. Mary’s in Dublin on October 17th in the second round.

During the Rally of course we had the visit of the 6 Nations and Triple Crown Trophies courtesy of Noel O’ Meara. Also along for a visit was International 7’s Player Brian Tuohy who is signing for Connacht of course next season.
