Our Under 17s youths hosted Ballina/Killaloe in the U17 North Munster Development League on Sunday 12th at home.
This was a great game and both teams were well matched.
Bruff came away with the win on the day beating Ballina/Killaloe with the final score 20-10 to the home team.
Our next match will go ahead next Sunday at 1pm where they play UL bohemians.
We would like to wish both teams the very best of luck going forward with this Mini League and to all the supporters that came out to see the boys play a competitive game after such a long break.

September 11th Our Senior team kicked of their Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Challenge Cup first home fixture last Saturday in a highly entertaining game at a Kilballyowen. Clonmel started the more brightly and an early try within 5 mins gave them the early lead. They then further increased their lead to 12-0 and looked very impressive, Bruff now had to dig deep, and they did that with great aplomb, the tackling, ball carrying, and general energy levels were huge. After continuous pressure Sean Hartigan got Bruff on the score board and this brought us with a score line of Clonmel 12-5.
The second half saw us see a lot of possession and Andrew O Byrne kicked over a penalty. Our forwards worked tirelessly, and Thomas Quigley touched down for the home teams second try of the afternoon. Shortly afterwards Mark Fitzpatrick increased the home teams score line to 18-12 to Bruff. Within minutes Stephen Collins went over the line with another try which was converted by Andrew O’Byrne to finish up the days result with a great home win to the home team 25-12. Overall, it was an excellent performance by the home team on the day and despite a few injuries all the replacements added value. We wish both squads all the best in the season ahead and it’s right and fitting to thank both teams for giving us the opportunity, once again, to gather and watch our teams giving their all for the game of rugby it’s so good to be back. We also wish our players the best who are recovering from injuries.
The club would also like to acknowledge our fantastic supporters that came out on Saturday, our stewards on the gate and our camera man on the day Richard for the great shot taken. And not least our fantastic ladies inside the counter who provide us with refreshments a big thank you.
