There were fantastic scenes in Bruff today as the Bruff u12’s team won out the James Keating Under 12 Mini Rugby Memorial tournament. This was the first time in 4 years that Bruff have won the competition, a tournament which is widely regarded as one of the hardest to win in Munster.
25 teams started the day with hopes of reaching the final but it was Bruff and Ennis that made it through to the decider. Bruff made it through in style without conceding a single try in the pool or knock out games. And this impressive record was not to be broken in the final winning out by 1 try to nil to a brave Ennis side. Bruff were captained to success by Shane Duggan who lead from the front all day.

There was also a fantastic result in the Shield as a Bruff u11 team took the silverware beating beating Newport, Newcastlewest, Bruff U12B’s and Charleville in a thrilling final.. This is a fantastic achievement in itself as these young guys will be underage to play again next season
