U14′ s had a friendly with Newcastle West over the weekend and were the stronger of the sides on the day. Bruff 34 NewcastleWest 26.
U13’s had a tough league game away to Ennis at the weekend. Bruff forwards dominated from the start with Richard Bateman, John Bulfin and Mark Bromell (2) scoring tries. Final Score: Ennis 10 Bruff 20.
U 15’s travelled to Shanagolden to take on Esturary, and after a rusty start to the New Year they came away with a 12 pts to 7 win. Tries scored by Ryan Lonergan and Owain Quinlain and a con. by Anthony Foley.
Our U 17’s travelled to Scariff on Sunday Morning for a League Fixture. Despite the recent inclement weather and travelling time of well over an hour, 32 players togged out for Bruff.
The hosts provided a stiff test but Bruff ran out winners by 28-0. Alex McAuliffe (2), Philip O’Connell and Shane Doona were the try scorers whilst David O’Grady (2) and Eoin Farrell (2) converted all 4 tries. Well done to all concerned
