Activity has certainly cranked up a few gears around Kilballyowen over the past few weeks and last week saw our Annual Golf Classic take place in Ballyneety and proved to be a great success, The Club were humbled by the support shown across the community and would like to thank everyone who supported by either playing or sponsoring in the event.  We then moved to our first real competitive outing when we hosted Sunday’s well in what’s equivalent of the Munster Senior League, this coincided with the unveiling of our new sponsor of our Senior Team by Toco Welding Ltd.  (Tomas Coleman) in which the Club are truly thankful for Tomas’s fantastic support.  Looking splendid in their Canary Yellow our first team put in a  display which was as as easy on the eye as the new gear as we raced to a 22-0 lead at halftime, through try’s from Kieran Bennett Andrew o Byrne(2) Credit to the Well who hit back with a couple of their own  early in the 2nd half, but the lads bounced back with a cracker from Cian Clifford to finish, winning out on a scoreline 32-14, with a personal contribution of 22 pts from Andrew o Byrne.  Next up is an away trip to Clonmel on Saturday. Our 2nds had good workout against the same opponents winning 37-17 with some of the lads putting lots of pressure on management for next week.  Team Brendan Keogh Tomas Quigley Kieran o Dwyer Tom o Dwyer Darragh o Connell Robert Browne Johnny Cleary (capt) Cillian Rea Cian Clifford Davy o Grady Kieran Bennett Jack o Grady Andrew o Byrne Mark Fitzpatrick Adam o Dwyer Darragh Browne Brian Bulfin Craig Finn Conor Fitzpatrick Graham Whelan.  Our club Lotto reached 5000€ on Saturday last which wasn’t won, once again we thank all who support it week in week out. All our underage continues throughout the week keep an eye on our social media platforms for timetable.

No more to be said really, the support you’ve been giving us to date has been absolutely brilliant, this week the jackpot is still there for the taking so the 3 lines for €5 deal is still available.

And it’s for a great cause.
