Our U17’s notched up another significant win at the weekend beating Young Munsters on a scoreline of 29-0. Try scorers on the day were Eamon Costello (2) Tom O Dwyer ,Shane Doona, Graham Whelan scoring one each and David O Grady adding 2 conversions. Well done to all concerned…….

Both the seconds and thirds were in action this weekend. The J2’s were first out on Saturday in the Gleeson League with a home games against St. Marys.

Bruff were up 13-3 at half time thanks to trys from Noel Ford and Shane O Donnell with Ritchie McAuliffe adding a penalty. Bruff had to fight hard in the second half and held out for a 13-10 victory.

The 2nds were in action Sunday away to UL Bohs. The fixture doubled as a league and transfield Cup game. Behind for most of the game Bruff eventually came away with a 22-21 win. John Carrol opened the Bruff account with a try in the first half with Barry Enright adding the conversion. Enright kicked a penalty mid way through the second half before Martin O Rourke Scored a brace of trys from 2 push over scrums one of which was converted.

All at Bruff Rugby club would like to congratulate Martin Hennessy who recently competed in the 250Km Sahara Race . Martin finshed 46th from over 150 competitor’s.

The J2’s made it 2 wins from 2  in the Gleeson League with a hard earned 8-13 victory over Young Munsters in Tom Clifford park on Saturday afternoon.

Mossie O Donnell scored the Bruff try mid-way through the first half with Ritchie McAuliffe adding the conversion and two Penalties.
