Action from the u16s Game with Young Munsters

U16’s

A try saving hand trip by winger Jason Fitzgibbon on the Young Munster full back in the last play saw the U16s  keep their 100% record at Kilballyowen in a thriller on Sunday. Munsters dominated the opening stages but Bruff defended well. In their first attack the forwards went through the phases and the ball was moved wide for winger Sean McCarthy to score in the corner. Munsters scored a penalty and missed 2 more in a super first half to leave it 5  3 to Bruff at the break.

Early in the second Bruff extended their lead with a great try following great interplay between John Bateman and Michael O Grady for Bateman to touch down. Munsters got in for a good try with 10 mins remaining and it was end to end until Fitzgibbons try saving tackle. It finished 10  8 to Bruff. Next Sunday the u16’s are away to Abbeyfeale
