Garryowen v Bruff U17’s league semi final

                                           
Heartbreak for the u17's today in the league semi final. The match against Garryowen  was played in Dooradoyle. Bruff played against a very strong wind in first half. P. Downes was 1st to reg a score with a pen early in the game. Garryowen soon answered with a converted try & drove on to widen the gap with a pen followed by a 2nd try. At h.time the score was 15-3 to Garryowen. 
In the 2nd half Bruff stepped up and commanded the game Pa Maher getting over the line for a try in the first five mins which Downes converted. With ten mins to go Downes clocked up another try &con and gave Bruff the lead of 17 -15. 
Garryowen were awarded a pen to put them back in the lead.  Bruff battled hard  and kept Garryowen back in their own 22 for rest of  the game with seconds to go Liam Treacy took the ball went in low and grounded the ball a great try to win any game. But unfortunately everyone but the ref saw it this way and awarded a scrum the ball was lost to Garryowen & kicked to touch.f.t 18-17  to Garryowen.
