This evening in Greenfields, a dogged Bruff J2 squad fought back in the second half to come away with a Trophy for the first time in the club’s Forty year history, and the 39 year history of the competition.

Bruff has a very strong tie with this cup as the man who presented the cup, John Webb O’ Rourke, son of Sean Webb in whose memory the cup was presented back in 1971, is a coach and former player with Bruff RFC, and played in the competition himself.

Bruff scores from Tommy Carroll (Try) and Richie McAuliffe (2 Pens)

Pictures are posted, click on the photo to get at them, I’ll do a fuller match report later on.
