U17 Old Crescent V Bruff RFC Cup 1st Round

We were very dominant in the 1st half where we put in 2 tries from Johnny McCarthy full back & Mike Cooke blind side flanker both converted by the boot of Jack Ryan who also put over a penalty. We went to the break with a 17-0 advantage.
The 2nd half was very much a different story as Crescent were not giving up that easy they had the slight hill the breeze and the rub of the green. Crescent put an early penalty over from the boot of a very good out half in full they put in 2 penalties & 2 tries(1 Converted) without response to bring it to 18-17 to Crescent but Bruff dug deep after losing our No.8 & our full back to injury with great team work. Darren Sheehy got over for a try to put us back in front. All in all a huge performance from the entire squad and a well deserved win.
