The Bruff side were ahead at half time and with ten minutes or so left on the clock Thomond fought back to kick a penalty to level the game at 11 all. In the last minute of play, Bruff’s Niall McCarthy ran in the winning try with Richie McAuliffe converting to put a gloss on it. Scorers on the day Mike Fitzgerald (1T), Niall McCarthy (1T) and Richie McAuliffe (2 pens and 1 conv.). Final Score Bruff 18, Thomond 11.
