The Bruff Senior team kick off their Energia AIL campaign with an away trip to Bangor on Saturday. The league returns to its tradition format this season with Bruff back in Div 2c alongside Bangor, City Of Derry, Clonmel, Enniscorthy, Middleton, Omagh, Skerries, Sundays Well and Tullamore.

Bruff will play each team home and away over an 18 game series kicking off with the trip to the North on Saturday. Bruff will again be captained this season by club stalwart Johnny Clery who is now into his 12th year of senior rugby. The backroom team sees Neilus Keogh and Andrew O Byrne stay on as the head and backs coaches with Tony Clifford and Colm Bulfin in the manager and logistics managers roles. Adrian O Brien and Craig Reddan are in charge of getting and keeping the squad fit providing S&C and physio therapy.

There is a wealth of youth and experience throughout the squad with two competitive games already under the belts in the Munster senior cup, a win over Clonmel and a loss to Garryowen. Signs have been positive with good collective and individual performances in both games.

We wish the whole squad and backroom team all the best in what promises to be another exciting season and look forward to seeing all our supporters old and new over the coming months.
