The 2nds Played Thomand on the All-weather pitch in UL on the 27th Nov . This was a home fixture for Bruff but due to on-going poor weather conditions it was decided to move the game to the new facility in UL.
Bruff got off to a good start racing into a 10-0 lead. Eoin Quinn opened the scoring with an Earlier penalty before Dumani Mtya ran in an intercept try which was converted by Quinn. Thomand responded before half time with a penalty to leave the score 10-3 at the break.
The game got disjointed in the second half but Bruff managed a try and a further penalty before the end of the game. Shane O Donnell made a great break from his own half before kicking the ball into the opposite 22. Mike Cooke chased the kick but was held up over the try line resulting in a Bruff scrum. The Bruff pack applied the pressure and went in for a pushover try which Paddy Clery touched down.
