The Second try was scored by Rob Finn. Scrum half Barry Enright broke from the back of a ruck and drifted across the line popping the ball off for Finn to finish, which was again converted by McAuliffe.

The 3rd try came with the last play of the game. With Thomond down 17-10 at this stage they were pushing the Bruff line hard to get the equalizing score. However Bruff managed to clear the ball into the Thomond half. Thomond in turn tried to run the ball from their own 22 which proved costly. John Hayes stripped the ball from the opposition winger and moved it on to Dave Conway who had an easy run in from 30 yards out to complete the scoring and finish the game off at 22-10.
