The pack were bad, tired and lacking cohesion, the back line were lacklustre, Hickey had a nightmare after being hit, Maybe he should have come off as soon as it happened. Captain Fantastic showed his lack of game time, about the only one that stood up was Denis Leamy, and that’s a relative term by the way…. Fair play to the Namibians, they took the chances they got and stood up for themselves. They deserved more even as the last Irish try wasn’t. Hopefully this one is just a blip on the screen and that we can step up and move into second gear, never mind the top gears we’ll need later.

If we don’t win all our games, tonight will come back to haunt us.

By the way as Bock said to me earlier, did anyone see O’ Gara???

Well, looks like second place has just possibly gone out the window.

The games against the so called minnows of the group have now taken on a new meaning. If we don’t win all the games and end in a three way tie, the scores against Namibia and Georgia may well decide who goes through. Tonight’s result means (Apart from gaining me 100 euro, thanks guys) that we have to rack up as many points as possible against these two teams in case it ends up a three way tie. It’s just an awful pity that they missed that last penalty or the one before, the bonus point may come back to haunt us.

Look It’s back to the same thing, we win the group, we go on… Second place has probably just disappeared. It’s all the incentive that we need.

Looks like they may have snuck one under the radar this time with the surprise announcement at the weekend.

We may finally lay our transfer demons of the past to rest (providing that this purchase of the contract of the Super leagues top scorer proves a lot more fruitful than our last Major Kiwi). No Disrespect intended to Christian Cullen, the man will always be an AllBlack Legend and still holds the AllBlack scoring record, but in my opinion misfortune delivered a broken man to our shores last time around. Injury after injury meant that despite the hefty price tag, we never got results from the worlds best full back.
This time around we see another winger/full back coming into the Munster fold, oooooh things are definitely heating up over here. A back line of Stringer, O’ Gara, Larry Mafi, Barry Murphy, Carney, Tipoki and now Howlett is starting to shape together verrry nicely indeed thank you sir…….
