Our seniors entertained Seapoint on sat last, and after some encouraging performances of late we were looking to continue our good home form. We got out of the blocks with some good early pressure and were rewarded with a penalty under the posts, Kevin McManus converted and we were 3-0 ahead. We continued the pressure and from a well worked maul off a line out Capt. Johnny Cleary dotted down for a 5 pointer Kevin went very close with the convert but just went narrowly wide. Seapoint reacted quickly and scored a try to make it 8-5. This seemed to give us the wake up call we needed, and after putting together multiple phases with some excellent handling Taylor Jones got over for a great try, Kevin’s kick just dropped inches short, and we took a half time lead of 13-5.

The 2nd half saw us dominate for long periods but sometimes due to a little over elaboration, and the odd dropped pass, made it a frustrating for all. Once again we showed some nice continuity similar to our second try which saw Taylor grab his 2nd, Kevin added the extras and with enough time on the clock our thoughts turned on the bonus try but once again we sometimes seemed a little over egar, and also giving credit to Seapoint for some reseloute defending the game finished 20-5. I’m sure management will have areas in which improvements can be made but will be also be happy with a lot of aspects of the game.

This Saturday sees us make the long trip to Bangor who just sit below us in the table so keep up to date by following @bruffrfc on Twitter and ye can also use it to send yere best wishes to the lads.

After the game Mr Ger Malone received his inscribed personal tankard which can be order through Mary Paul and Ken Daly maybe a nice little gift for xmas. Also nice to see our former capt John Hogan in attendance John was at home for a brief break from educating the masses in Holland and it was great to able to give a him a result.
