Adios Joan Marc

We have to say a fond farewell to Joan Marc Pares, who has lit up Kilballyowen with his friendly smile and easy nature since he arrived here in September. Despite only ever playing basketball in his native Catalonia, he quickly caught on to the rugged nature of our game and became an instant hit with his team mates and friends. One visit to Thomond park and he became a Munster supporter for life. He came to Limerick to improve his English but it is safe to say that he learnt a lot more in his 3 months in Ireland. A firm favourite in 3rd year in Hospital secondary school he will be missed by everyone who came to know him. Adios Joan Marc, safe journey home and keep in touch with all your friends in Bruff RFC.
