So happy for Aimee on her call up to the Irish u18s squad. Bruff Rugby Football Club is proud and backing you all the way. Hope to see you in a green Jersey soon. And make sure to enjoy the ride!!#CantSeeCantBe#nothinglikeit#munstergirlsplayrugby

A 35-player training squad will assemble at the IRFU High Performance Centre over the course of the next few weeks to prepare for the inaugural Under-18 Women’s Six Nations Festival in Edinburgh.

The training squad will participate in three camps across March and April before the festival squad is selected.

The camps take place on March 19-20 and 26-27 and April 2-3 at the IRFU High Performance Centre on the Sport Ireland Campus in Dublin.

The festival promotes a learning environment for these young players and the coaches who are developing and honing their skills.

Ireland will play 35-minute matches against England and France on Game Day 1 and a 70-minute match against Wales on Game Day 2.  The U-18 Women’s Six Nations Festival will take place at Dam Health Stadium between April 9 and 17.

Katie Fitzhenry, IRFU Women’s Performance Pathway Performance coach, commented:

There is a really good provincial mix across this group and from a variety of clubs around the country which reflects the great work that is happening at grassroots level.

“This group will experience a high performance environment as we build towards the Six Nations Festival in Edinburgh in April.

“We are really excited to get started and I am sure the girls will be too as they strive to pull on a green jersey for the first time.”

Dear All, We are fully supporting this great fundraiser our friend from UL Bohs RFC Graham Burns & Irish Heart Foundation in the brilliant campaign ‘Rugby show some Heart’ by all our players where their first club, college or school socks & donating to this great cause on the 26th March link in our bio to donate.#rugbyshowssomeheart#bruffrfc#ulbohsrfc#EnergiaAILhttps://eventmaster.ie/…/Rugby%20Shows%20Some%20HeartThe Irish Heart Foundation, founded in 1966, runs support groups for patients who have had heart problems or strokes and campaigns on public health issues. Education is a major part of the Irish Heart Foundation’s work, delivering training programs free to schools on the delivery of CPR. The Irish Heart Foundation relies on the goodwill and generosity of our supporters to fund lifesaving and life-changing work in prevention, research, CPR, advocacy, and patient support. As a proud member of UL Bohemian RFC and a supporter of the wider rugby community.

Graham is asking that the rugby community come together and show some heart for the Irish Heart Foundation. With the support of the IRFU, Energia, sponsors of the AIL, and the Club scene podcast, we want as many rugby supporters as possible to get involved in raising awareness and much-needed funds for the Irish Heart Foundation. Irish Heart Foundation Every hour someone in Ireland suffers from a stroke. Every day, hundreds of Irish people are diagnosed with heart disease.

The lives of these people are often cut tragically short. Many are left disabled. Almost 9,000 people die each year, making heart disease and stroke one of the nation’s biggest killers. It shouldn’t be this way and this fact forms our reason for being. We are the nation’s heart and stroke charity. Our mission is to effect positive change in the lifestyles of Irish people, to achieve better outcomes for those affected by heart disease and stroke and to challenge when the health of our nation is put at risk.

We empower people to live longer, healthier lives. Thank you for choosing to support us.
