Bruff U14 had two games against Kilfeacle away yesterday morning.The U14 Lions were defeated 35  19 by Kilfeacle U15 team.Bruff had tries from Donnacha McCarthy,Liam Tierney and Michael O Grady who also kicked 2 conversions.
Bruff Tigers were beaten by a bigger and stronger Kilfeacle side.
Training continues on Wednesday night from 7 to 8 30pm.
We are at home next Sunday to Garryowen in the league

Bruff start their league campaign in Kilballyowen against Ballymena this Saturday at 14.30.
We could not get the better of the Ulster side last year but both matches were very tight.
Having our first match at home will be hugely beneficial this year and we hope for a good turnout.
Bar facilities incl. Tea/Coffee and Snacks/Sandwiches are available.
10Euro entry.Members who bring their card will get a 5Euro discount.

The 3rds were in action against Shannon on Saturday in the Quarter final of the McInerney Cup. Bruff ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 41-14.

 

Bruff had trys from Mike Cooke (2), Johnnie McCarthy(2),  John Mitchell & TJ Coffey. Eoin Quinn added the extras with the boot.

The 2nds Played away to Thomand on Sunday in the Senior Seconds league.

 

Thomond lead 7-0 at the break scoring a try just before half time. Bruff had the better of the second half scoring 10 unanswered points.

 

The first score was a well worked try through the forwards. Hooker Timmy Quirke threw a lovely ball to the back of a lineout which was taken down and driven all the way to the Thomond line. Quirke was on hand to touch it down himself.Brian Carroll added the conversion. The winning score was a penalty again from Brian Carroll with 15 min remaining

Bruff played Highfield in Kilballyowen on Saturday in the ODM Cyril Fitzgerald plate.

There was a penalty after 10 mins which Darragh  Barry put over. Highfield 3-0
Yellow card for Maurice o Connell after 12 mins.
A Try in the 24th min by Dave o Hea and conversion by Barry put Highfield well ahead. 10-0
A Penalty for crossing led to Darragh  Barry putting another 3 points over at 38 mins. 13-0.
A Penalty for not releasing allowed Barry Enright to put points on the board and made sure Bruff had something to work off in the second half. 13-3. Half time
A quick break by Eoghan Maher& Garry Leonard resulted in a try for Mark Cosgrave.
Converted by Barry Enright. 13-10 at 53Mins.
Another error in 58 mins for not releasing allowed Barry Enright to level the game. 13-13.
Bruff  sealed the game at 65 mins.A try for Robbie Finn after his break from Eoghan Maher’s pass resulted in him chasing down his own box kick which was then Converted by Barry Enright. 20-13 to Bruff.Final score
