Bruff were beaten by Shannon 19pts to 8pt  in Kilballyowen inthe Munster Junior Cup on sunday. After a dreadful start where we conceded two soft tries after 10 minutes  the Bruff pack took control but failed to score a try before half time.Shannon scored another breakaway try to put them ahead on 19pts to 3pts at half time.Despite being camped inside the Shannon twenty two for all the second half,Bruff made too many mistakes to convert the pressure into scores.Bruff finally got a try with 10 minutes left but it was too late.Bruff now contest” The Plate” and also the North Munster Senior Second’s Cup in the next few weeks.

Just a collection of some facts:

Tomorrow Bruff attempt to win their 10th game in a row in Division three of the AIL.

Bruff Currently have twenty two points (Not 24) scored against them in 9 AIL games. This must be some kind of a record. I’ll have to get someone to check this.

Bruff’s line has been crossed only twice to date this year in the AIL.

Bruff currently have had only four penalties and one conversion scored against them in 9 AIL games.

They currently lead Division three by Four points against their nearest rivals Instonians.

This is their third trip to Monastery Field in the AIL in four years. They have played them at home once.

Just to let you know what’s at stake tomorrow in Clifden. Have a good one guys, I can’t make it there to shout ye on or take the photos.
